Telstra: Disconnecting People (In particular the suicidal, abused and mistreated)

February 12th, 2005 at 6:00 pm By johnsee (Australia)

Telstra has announced it is cutting it funding for the Lifeline service. Depsite making a 2.3 billion dollar half-yearly profit, it feels it cannot commit to further funding of the service, which it has contributed $10 million to over the last decade. It has also said that it gave Lifeline three years notice of it’s plan, and is looking for another charity to grow into success like it has Lifeline.
