Shot Brit was NOT running from Police
Its been about am onth now since the huge debate over whether police shooting a man, who ran on suspicion of being a suicide bomber, did the right thing. Now an investigation into the incident has been leaked, and it appears the cops greatly exadurated about the incident:
Jean Charles de Menezes, 27, was shot seven times in the head by two plainclothes policemen who had followed him on to the train at Stockwell station in the mistaken belief that he was a potential suicide bomber. Documents and photographs leaked to ITV News also confirmed that Mr de Menezes did not run from the police, as had been reported, had used his Tube pass to enter the station, rather than vault the barrier, and had taken a seat on the train before being grabbed by an officer. He was wearing a light denim jacket and not as previously reported a padded coat which could have concealed explosives.
Now even IF he struggled when they grabbed him, and I’m not sure whether he did, would you blame him? The officers were in plain clothes. If two people grabbed me out of the blue I would be stuggling!

That is fucking crazy. It seems that terrorist hysteria is alive and well amongst triggerhappy police. Hope people settle down soon and take a little more care in future.
I would like to know more of the specifics though. I mean it seems a little beyond reason to shoot a man dead without any reason. However i realise that stupid people do in fact exist so hmmm….
