A TUSSLE over prey between a Bulgarian hunter and his hound ended when the dog shot the man.
The man lost his temper and began beating his Deutsch-Drahthaar hunting dog with a rifle when the animal refused to release a killed bird it had brought back.
But the dog’s paw caught the trigger and the hunter was blasted with buckshot. The extent of his injuries was not reported - but local media said the dog injured a paw.

After 3 days of being screwed around by the courier company my black ipod nano arrived today.
I’d read in a few reviews that you won’t believe how small it is until you get it… you won’t.
It’s frucking tiny. Smaller than any phone I’ve ever seen… and about as thin as a 48 page exercise book. It’s about the length of my index finger long… and two thumbnails wide. And my hands aren’t big.
Despite the small size the high resolution of the screen makes it ok, and unless you have trees for fingers, the scroll wheel is easily workable.
I managed to crash it the first time I plugged it in my computer. Oops. But restarting it was easy, and since then I have had no problems. Maybe I should have followed the instructions.
It comes with a software CD, USB cable, headphones, headphone ear pieces, dock adapter, manual all tied up in the sexiest black packaging you’ve ever seen.
The transfer via USB2 is fast. About a song a second, and with iTunes it’s such a piece of piss to update too.
I love you Steve Jobs, and I love our new baby 2.
5 / 5
EDIT: Just to clarify a few things… mines a 4 gig model (the larger of the two). ATM it’s got 409 songs on it, but to it’s defence at least 4 of them are entire CD’s in one audio track… and it’s about 80% full. It’s more space than I need, as I can easily refill it wherever I am with my laptop.

I noticed these new signs at the busway today. There in the spot where extended timetable info used to be. The sign uses the snappy caption of “Bags without people don’t make sense” to encourage people to report abandoned bags via a 1800 numbers. Now call me stupid… but if I were a terrorist who spend hundreds of hours researching bombs, discreetly gathered the ingrediants, carefully constructed my explosive device… leaving it sitting in a bag seems a little stupid.
Queensland transport has realised this though, and they actually have a bomb disposal device sitting next to the sign. Now whilst I didn’t get a photo of it, apparently they are also known as a ‘garbage tin’ or a ‘bin’. What terrorist with the intelligence to construct a powerful bomb to fit in a bag wouldn’t place it into a bin, where it could remain without any suspicion whatsoever, and then leave it sitting on a train or bus platform? It’s trying to make the people feel the government is out there doing something. It’s pointless. At the airport maybe, but not at a bus stop.
I miss my timetable information :( But if I see any strange bags sitting in the middle of the platform with no obvious owner… I’ll be sure to give the hotline a call…

And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway so this (chuckle) – this is working very well for them.” –Former First Lady Barbara Bush, on the Hurricane flood evacuees in the Houston Astrodome, Sept. 5, 2005

Not that I’m trying to push anything else further down the front page… but already a computer game has a game based on the New Orleans disaster in the works. The game, starring Bush, has released some early game footage here.

Johnsee:
probably still this age mentally. |
A big shout-out to Johnsee - creator, owner and Administrator of Sandstorming.com. It’s his 18th birthday today, and in Queensland, Australia that legally makes him an adult, no matter how immature he still is. It also means he is now able to:
- Vote in elections. This probably means more political posts than ever before, because now he actually has a say in who runs this country, instead of just bitching about it.
- Get married without the courts’ permission. Lucky for our female readers, Johnsee is currently single, so don’t fret yet, there’s still time.
- Get his penis, scrotum or nipples pierced legally. No more homemade Prince Albert piercings for him!
- Buy alcohol. Not that this has ever stopped him before. Oh well, at least he can stop looking for a fake ID now.
- Go clubbing. Now all I’ll hear from him is how out-of-date, commercial and crap the Australian dance chart is.
- Get a tattoo. I’m suggesting he get a big fat “Sandstorming.com” printed across the back of his neck and/or forehead. Classy, timeless, and best of all, great advertising!
- Legally have butt sex. He can now have his ass penetrated by another man and not get arrested!
- Officially get his name changed to Johnsee (or Adminstrator as he prefers to call himself on here) if he so chooses.
- Make a valid will. Now he can finally legally declare that in the event of his death, all his valuables - including Sandstorming.com - will be passed to me.

Happy Birthday mate, have a good one!
Everyone else, leave birthday greetings in the comments!
