Sandstorming Live!
As a bit of a followup on yesterday’s article on firefox, I’d like to show you how you can use Firefox’s livebookmarks, in order to get sandstorming stories added directly to your toolbar!

| This is what you need to click. |
The first think you need to do is to add the feed. This can be done easily by clicking the RSS feed button on the right side of your address bar (see the image to the right). If you are using a version of firefox older than 1.5, you will find the feed button down the bottom right hand corner of your browser, and then select suscribe to RSS 2.0. Once you have completed this incredibly difficult pisseasy task, select ‘Bookmark Toolbars Folder’ from the resulting drop down list, and click ok.That’s it, your done!
Sandstorming RSS feeds can be used with lots of other services as well, including google’s personalised homepage, yahoo and many other feed management services.
I now use google’s homepage in order to organize my feeds, as I’m finiding I have too many for my toolbar, it also allows you to add in a few other great features like weather in a great personalised start page. If you’re looking to add some feeds to firefox, or even to any other feedreader, here’s a few of my favourites: (you’ll notice them as sources for many of sandstorming’s stories) Next Generation , Techcrunch , Slyck , AtomicMPC , Wired , /. , Digg as well as serveral google and Aussie news feeds.
