HD vs DVD quality comparison

Wonder if the quality of HD is going to be that much better than DVD? Check out these screenshots from The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring DVD transfer and compare them to their HD counterpart. The difference is amazing!

    Blu-ray will destroy Hi Def DVD’s (HD DVD). This will be like betamax.

    Actually i should point out the Blu Ray is technically a HD format, but i am assuming that example is taken from a HD DVD?
