This advert still annoys me. What gets we worked up about this 'bloody' advert is the fact that it shows before 6pm, when my 5 year old son is watching TV. The word 'bloody' is not offensive to me, and I think the advert is fine for teenagers and adults, but I would be pretty annoyed (and I'm sure lots more parents would be too) if my 5 year old starts saying 'bloody hell' in school, because he thinks that it is acceptable language. I've been to Australia - and it's a great place, however, the memory of 22 hours on a plane to get there, and the dreadful jet lag (almost 12 hours out of sync with the UK), will probably stop me going back again any time soon - despite the bikini bint asking where the bloody hell I am. On a bloody plane, sheila, mate, cobber - oh yeah, cover up, you don't want melanoma. They could have got away with 'So where the hell are you?' - they didn't need the word bloody, and they don't need to show the advert before 6pm. It captures everything about Oz. My husband is from there and I speak to his relatives back home. The accents are not put on.
