Cake and Cunnilingus Day

April 14th, 2006 at 5:47 pm by johnsee (Humour, Around the World)

cake.jpgFemales have Valentines day. The day when all males have to get off our asses and put in a heap of effort all in the name of romance. It’s NOT fair that we don’t get a day in return, and so to counter that problem, Steak and BJ day was created, and once again the world was in balance.

But no! Those crazy penisless people have created another day, in what seems like an attempt to remove our manhood. Cake and Cunnilingus Day. I’m shocked, I’m offended!

April 14th, 2006 at 5:31 pm by johnsee (Television)

Gaming may not really be what sandstorming is about, but family guy definitely is, so I decided to post this one. This site has screenshots of the upcoming Family Guy game for PSP. Looks like good fun, shame I don’t have a PSP.

Full Length Shows Soon To Be Online for Free

April 12th, 2006 at 8:09 pm by johnsee (Television, Online)

For the Walt Disney Company, plans to make television shows available free online are a way to bolster revenue by selling two sets of advertising — TV commercials and online ads — for a single show.

For advertisers, the online offerings represent an opportunity to capture the attention of particularly Web-savvy consumers who do not have the luxury of fast-forwarding through the ads as they can on a digital video recorder.

Yesterday, Disney announced details of the plan. Beginning in May, the company will begin a two-month trial that will make four popular shows from its ABC network — “Desperate Housewives,” “Lost,” “Commander in Chief” and “Alias” — available for free viewing online the day after they are broadcast. The plan was first reported in The Wall Street Journal.

Unilever is among the advertisers that bought ads for the initial test run. Noreen Simmons, Unilever’s director of strategic media planning, said she expected that consumers who were watching shows in streaming video online would be more alert than if they were watching the same content on television.

“It’s going to be a different viewing experience,” Ms. Simmons said. “Rather than people sitting back in their chairs watching TV, this is going to be a lean-forward experience.”

Messquoted is a new project from Doc and myself. It’s a bash styled quote site, dedicated to funny one-liner MSN names. The idea is to stick to strict moderation, and approve only the best, to keep the site away from the shitty one-liner msn names a different person has on your list every week.

  • 268,971 domains contain the word ’sex’, whilst only 143,683 contain ‘love’
  • The most common letter to start a domain name with is ’s’ (Aren’t we cool!)
  • All single 2 and 3 digit combination of .com domains have been registered, and almost 80% of 4 character names
  • There are 538 .com domains that are 63 characters long
  • 100% of the top 10,000 family names are registered

1984: Coming soon to 2006

April 4th, 2006 at 7:44 pm by johnsee (Australia)

Last week, Federal Parliament passed a law that allows the Government to read private emails, text messages and other stored communications without our knowledge. The power extends to innocent people, called B-parties, if they have been unlucky enough to communicate with someone suspected of a crime or of being a threat to national security.

The Government should sometimes be able to monitor the communications of innocent people. This may be necessary to protect the wider community where a suspect can only be tracked through another person. However, the law goes beyond what can be justified and undermines our privacy more than is needed

This really annoys me. There hasn’t been a terrorist attack in a while now, and something like this isn’t going to stop terrorists anyway. Its a real invasion of privacy that doesn’t really seem to have any real reason as to why it’s being brought in
