Sercuirty was pretty tight before this UK thing, but i remember once in Africa they just searched our bags by hand cuz they didn't have any x-rays. That was in zimbabwe by the way, before the socio-political downfall, so i guess now it would be even easier to take things through. There would probably be no where to land in time and no way of deactivating the chemical reaction. At that point in time you'd be screwed... it's just a thought. One guy called up with a story that went kind of like this: He and his partner were on a flight coming into land in egypt. The plane was on a sharp descent and the passengers were rather alarmed by it, which wasn't helped by an egyptian woman at the back of the plane screaming an unidentified phrase repeatedly. The plane finally came down kangaroo hopping and bouncing everywhere. As the passengers left the aircraft the man asked another passenger what the woman had been screaming. Translated she said: "No survivors! No survivors! No survivors!" It's times like these you'd be thankful for language barriers.
