I'm at one of those points in my life were I'm on top of the world. I get them every few months, and I feel like I am on one at the moment. Sure work is annoying the shit out of me... and I'm not looking forward to spending 10 hours a day, 4 days a week working for dad... but seriously... I don't care. Life is so good. Schoolies rocked. Mooloolaba rocked. I live in my own flat now... sure its under my parents house... but fark that. External stairs... private as anything and everything I need. Hell... I have 2 desks a queen bed and a couch just in my bedroom now. I've got a girl again... who atm is really rocking my world... and 2 and a half months more of holidays to look forward too. Yes... life is good.

I saw the movie 'Saw' today. Go see this movie. Without giving it too much thought... I'd say its one of the best movies I have ever seen... if not the best. Sure, its a little gruesome, but its just such a masterpiece. The twist at the end was so incredibly surprising I don't think anyone would ever pick it in a million years, I sure as hell didn't. Its just such a good movie... go see it. Now. Unless your squeamish... then don't. Several people screamed their heads off in the cinema... I don't think I have ever seen that before (or heard :| ) Its now 1:15 in the morning so I think I should probably start thinking about getting a bit of sleep, I have to start work at 8 in the morning. I spent an hour delivering boxes for Alan this morning. Damn hard work, for shit all pay. Oh well. It paid for the movie. Tomorrow is sailing club work again.... 15 - 20 knots which normally means it won't be too tough at work. I'm past caring... I hate my boss. Apart from six of us the rest are becoming volenteers. Forced to anyway. If I'm not on the list they can go fuck themselves. My boss is a dickhead. Hes going to get fired soon and he knows it. Suck shit. I dont care. I'm getting annoyed so many people read my blog... I now write everything as detailess as I can. I'm thinking of starting another... or maybe passwording it. I dont know. 1:17 now.

zzzzz...

I feel like telling a few stories so here we go.

We started on Saturday by booking in at Costa D'Ora. Legendary place. Room was tiny... one bed and one couch between the four of us. Didnt matter there was never more then two of us staying in the unit on any given night. The atmosphere was unreal... in the distance all you could here was yelling, whistling and screaming. We broke out the air horn too... niiice and loud. We were told the managers of the units were putting on a free bbq that night for all the schoolies... so Ben, Crug and myself (there who i stayed with) went for a quick walk to cavill, saw sim glenn and the others before rocking back for the bbq. I started drinking. Early. My worst night. I don't remember much after that. I remember eating dinner. The red frog people turned up... they were really only there to try and get a free feed... I ate a few red frogs. Too many. If your squeamish, stop reading. I remember vomitting, red frog vomit all over the toilet. I cleaned it though... go me in my drunken cleaning state! We headed down to cavill a little later and I began to Sober up. Met up with a few people and spent the night on the beach.

I'm not going to give a diary entry through the week. Mainly because that would bore. So i just want to mention some of the highlights. Partying and just people being out and around got later every night. There was nothing happening until about 11pm on the last night. I had a heap of mates staying in the aegean. They weren't allowed visitors at any time of the day. I had no idea. I'd been in there and out about 4 or 5 times... I mean hell... Kiz and Andrew were sleeping multiple nights in there... and they werent even from there. We came back one night... what sure what time and we wanted to go upstairs. I cant remember how many people we had but it was about twice the number that were actually staying there... probably more. We sat around in the foyer and Sim decided to pull of his idea for getting us inside. There was a lone security guard in there and he wasnt the brightest chip off the block. Sim came inside holding his head and went up to the security guard claiming people were throwing glass off balconies and had hit him in the head. He asked the guard to come outside and have a look. The guard said he had to stay in there. Damn. We got a break, some people coming out of the lift said people were thorwing ice off the balconies. Sim jumped on it and changed glass to ice in his story... and now the secuirty guard agreed to have a look. He started walking outside and everyone ran for the lift. Some other random in the foyer yelled this to the security guard who came running back. Everyone got away but kizz and I. Damn. We walked over to Simi and the security guard. "We need to take him to his room before he passes out." "I cant let u do that." "You dont want to be responsible for him collapsing do you?". Five minutes later and we were lying in the couch of sim stable and glenns room watching tv. Score. Needless to say I got caught there the next morning after I went back to pick up my pass and got told if i came back they'd call the police.

The beach parties were huge. The betty stage tended to play the same 5 commerical dance songs over and over until a dj came on. Congrats to Benny B, Safri Duo and the Beatles for having your songs stuck on repeat. The Djs played good music. I should say the music people played good music. Calling them djs is an insult. I could mix music better turning the volume down on one cd player and up on another at the same time. Beats were off, records knocked to stop music akwardly and so much more. It was a joke. I suppose they dont want to put on decent djs to discourage older people? They must be doing it on purpose... because your average wedding dj could do a better job than these guys with his/her eyes closed. Its funny because I'm not joking.

The second last night a certain person from another school in brisbane that likes saos... smacked up a guy from our school, who for the usual reasons I won't name, because for some stange reason the school seems to think they can sure people for mentioning true events with the schools name in... or uploading photos with uniforms when they have permisson of the photos occupants. Enough on said school (or not said). The following night word got around. Viva la sms. I'd say about 100 or so of us rocked up outside Tiki. Needless to say no BBC guys showed up... or at least tried to start anything. It was kinda like a final breakup... we were waiting for warcries, and there was more testostrone in the air then at a chinese olympic swimming selection trials.A maxi taxi stuck at the lights starting yelling 'zoomers' (omg im going to get sued) . Stupid move. They got snapped. People punching through glass windows. One unhappy maxitaxi driver. The police rocked up... they didnt pretty much nothing. It eventually broke up. **** guys started telling other **** guys to nick off, not the police. Nice to see theres still a bond of some description there. We started walking back up cavill. A fight happened a matre away from us, one guy smacking another guy into a pole for some comment about his mother. I got it on video but the quality is too bad to make much out. I CBFed uploading it.

Is schoolies a safe place to go? If i had a daughter i would make sure she stayed close to cavill. I was walking home alone one night, under the bright lights of cavill, piggybacking on the back of a police patrol, when I saw ben taking a group of his gf's friends home. He asked me to tag along so we could walk back together and so i did. Stupid me... we walked all the way to main beach... at like 3am in the morning. The girls were pissed. We were sober. Every car that drove passed yelled comments at the girls. I admit they were wearing slightly revealing clothes. On the way back we saw a car start following a group of three and four girls. The girls got scared and started screaming and ran at the car that then pissed off. Lucky they had some sense. Lucky the guys got spooked. Don't walk alone. If you do, and i did several times :| Walk with some red frog people or police of SES. Mind you not everyone has a psycho boarder who has threatned several times to kill them, and got sms throughout the week from people telling them hes looking for them. Not everyone got people coming up and saying if the boarder showed up they we on their side. Not everyone had their school fuck up and cause the entire problem by their incompetence in handling the smallest of problems. Yes i blame you ********. Wow... I put the right amount of * that time.

After the first day we all reckoned we could have written a book about schoolies. The most simple things they never tell you. Main things noone told us that I would have liked to have known are:

  • Red frog people are everywhere. They arent 50 old people... there are like 1000 20 year olds. You have to ask them for red frogs.
  • Red frog people will cook you breakfast. These people rock. Call them if you need a hand. They clean too.
  • Take a stereo, you dont want a clock radio for the week.
  • Have plenty of mobile credit. You call alot of people.
  • We ate 10% of our food.
  • Careful carrying alcahol around if you arent 18.
  • Stay with an 18 year old.
  • Toolies are not 50 older guys calling a problem. About half the people are down there are toolies. Theres only so many toolies being charged because there is so many of them.
  • Read your rules and make sure you can have visitors.
  • Document any damage. We got our entire bond back :D
  • Don't rip numbers off doors.
  • Become friends with the security guard. When he thinks you are having 3somes he becomes really friendly. Thank him with a 6 pack at the end of the week.
I spent about a day at home before heading to mooloolaba with a few mates for two nights. It was a nice way to end schoolies in a relaxing way. I took 12 cans of rum and coke up. I drunk one. Doc drunk the other. We were at the point of "Man... it takes so much effort to get drunk." On a final note, give the OC drinking game a try. Its a shitload of fun and kept us amused on the final episode of the season... even if Marissa cries much and we couldnt keep up with drinking to it.
